Sex and the Guru

I read an article in The Oregonian this morning by Rachel L. Swarns of the New York Times.
It is about "relationship gurus" and their advice. One of the gurus urged women to just enjoy their sexuality by having casual sex. "Just have fun," with a variety of men, of course. In other words, enjoy those one-night stands.

I disagree. I've known too many women who bitterly regretted having casual sex with a man.

The guru also refers to men as being different now. The sexual revolution during the Vietnam War changed many things. Sex without commitment was one of them. But men are still men, and women are still women.

The biology of the female mind is different from that of the male. Women are programmed to want what they have always wanted: a man who loves them.

You are absolutely right! I can't help wonder if the motives of this particular "relationship guru" is selfish and his advice self-serving. :)
