Marriage and Money
Some of the biggest problems in a marriage can be those of financial concerns. Please discuss this topic before you go anywhere near the altar. You will save yourselves years of trouble.
All too often a couple will marry without knowing how the other feels about financial matters, much less what they even know about the subject of money, or how much money each of them have.
Before your wedding, spend an evening in financial discussion. Will you share a checking account, or will you each have one of your own? What about savings and investments?
If this doesn't come easily to both of you, find an accountant, or a librarian, to recommend a book about living within your means and making the most of what you have.
Common sense works best when it comes to money matters.
